Team Xtreme4's new jerseys arrived today and boy do they look great. I think I can say this for everyone, but the jerseys were the finishing touch. We've been a team for quite some time, but somehow shooting these guys today made it seem official.
Part 3 of our RAAM Team installment brings us Xtreme4 cyclist Phil Schmidt. An avid swimmer and great cyclist, this guy put in a sub-3:00 marathon this year in his first attempt ever. WOW! But before he looks to next year's Boston Marathon, Phil will join me in doing IRONMAN Wisconsin this September. In the meantime, Phil's in taper mode for the race---and with a balls-out mental capacity for mountains and going fast, we can't wait to see how Phil does in this race.
So I just picked up this new fisheye lense from Penn Camera this morning and WOW, is this thing cool. I was just playing around with it in the house before Chad & Kirsten's wedding this weekend and I think it's going to provide a nice little flare to wedding album. I'll keep you posted on any specific Fisheye shots coming up.
Called a fisheye lense due to it rounding at the edges.
So this week has brought about some serious storms our way, so serious that it caused massive flooding in our basement (where my room is situated). Needless to say, after 4 hours of bucket brigading and a monumental effort of behalf of my brother Kevin and our friend Todd, we salvaged my things, but not the room. Ergo, the room is no longer habitable. Which means I've moved into the front room in the basement provided a new perspective on life--and a chance to go through my things. One thing that struck me was how many hats I have. So here they are Ladies and Gentleman. In all their glory, I present you with all my hats.
Ironman Arizona, Detroit Tigers, Boston Marathon ('04 & '05), DC Tri Club...
Newton Running, NY Marathon, Michigan State and the AWESOME Tootsie Roll hat.
A day shy of a month to go until the great and grand RACE ACROSS AMERICA, Team Xtreme4 cycles down at Hains Point going over some last minute technical transitions. With only 4 weeks to go, team work is essential if this team wants to win. Looking to finish 3,oo8 miles in just 6 1/2 days, effortless and penalty free transitions or only part the process. Good Luck guys! I'm excited to document this whole race.
