Happy Birthday Mr. President...

Soprano singing sensation Marilyn Moore joined me today. Her career has taken her to the world's great opera houses and concert halls. Operatic appearances have included engagements with the New York City Opera, Michigan Opera Theater, the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, the Philadelphia Opera Company and Opera Ebony. And in the fall of 2002 Ms. Moore-Brown appeared with the New York Choral Society in a concert version of Gershwin's Porgy and Bess with the Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra. She was a delight to meet. Best of luck Marilyn, although it doesn't seem like she needs it. (Did anyone catch the double meaning in the title?)

A View from a Camera

A long time friend and wonderful actress, Naomi came to me needing a headshot in a hurry for an interview for the NY Times about her upcoming productions of A View From a Bridge and Death of a Salesman at Arena Stage's temporary space in Alexandria. Well, I think this proves the theory that some may work best under pressure.

Now that's a headshot!

But so is this. Classic B&W--always works.

The glare of a woman mocked.

Taking a break.

Yes John, she's still getting her picture taken.
